...This is a magical, beautiful album, perfectly crafted and perfectly
presented... ...I cannot see this superlative cd being equalled in it's field
for a long time. Its evocative swathes and enchanting melancholies have
captured me entirely, and I can only implore you to buy it this very night.
Very few cd's get a seal of approval like this from Metal Ireland, so you know
that this one is a genuine indulgence. What is more, this cd is awarded my own
personal Earl Grey award; an accolade stolen from the gods and bestowed unto
the disciples of music so hypnotic and enchanting, so haunting and compelling,
that only a heady infusion of those fine leaves is able to provide the correct
accompaniment.

... Stylistically, the album is - as a whole - darker, slower and extremely
diverse compared to its predecessor, with deeper vocals and a dominating role
of the "real", natural instruments... ...It would be almost impossible to
point out an outstanding composition, simply because they're all grandiose and
uncomparable, and the whole album should be listened to as a unity of sound
and feelings...

(translated from German) ...Melancholy, sadness, in addition, nature
solidarity and width are only some the terms, which are automatically
associated with Tenhi and which fit wonderfully into this wet, cold and grey
season. Tenhi were and are one the most innovative volume of these days.

(translated from German) ...Who believed, the mini CD "airut:ciwi" would have
been unique experimental excursion into the shamanistic, ritual and dark soul
of Tenhi. Also "Väre" contains this side, which intersperses itself in the
course of the album ever more strongly and in a trembling pulse... ...Tenhi
cause something by their music that everyone of us carries in itself and can
experience...

...on siis pystynyt saavuttamaan jotain erittäin luonnollista ja
yleismaailmallista, mutta myös samalla ammentanut esille suomalaisuuden
ydintä, sillä ennen kaikkea ~Väre~ on kunnianosoitus suomalaiselle luonnolle
ja vanhoille ajoille... ...Väre~ on tehty hiljentymiseen. Se on musiikkia,
jollaista maailma ja ihmiset tarvitsevat, olkoon elämäntilanne millainen
tahansa. Se antaa lohtua ja kaipausta, tuoden esiin elämyksiä ja
kosketuspintaa luonnon ja samalla itsensä kohtaamiselle. Kaunis ja koskettava
levy.

The music: like their previous MCD advanced to us, the music of Tenhi is any
more as crystalline and limpid as before, now there are more shadows in the
music of these three finish guys; more shadows, more intensity, more sorrow
and melancholy, more beauty, more variety... more of anything ... ...But in
spite of all the changes, the images that evokes the music of Tenhi are still
the same: endless virgin spaces far away from civilization, and far away from
mediocrity; magnificent music.

..."Väre" is only unfolded after fifth or sixth time hearing, but each new
attempt to this mysterious music is worthwhile itself. This music is mystic,
dark, beautiful, confusing, fascinating, atmospheric, despite everything very
easy and playful, It seems to come from the widths of the tundra somewhere...

...this work comes with the aim to freeze you and leave you speachless and
motionless with its beautiful, rich melodies... Strings, wind instruments and
tympans, all have their chance to provide this unique work's atmosphere with
their own element. Some vocals also appear here and there, in the band's
home-language, and some classical guitars give the final touches to the
result, setting the background over which the other instruments unfold their
tunes and harmony... ...Absolutely recommended work and definitely a great
companion for your grayclad autumn.

...One dips into dark, shamanistic singing, into far, nordic landscapes and
can escape so from the everyday activity. One works less song oriented, the
synthesis of the arts counts, which would deliver a good soundtrack for a Jim

...a work of art refined, reworked and perfected. Tenhi have applied some
memorable and enchanting musical textures to ~Vare,~ making it sit right
atop the greatest echelon as far as folk inspired music goes in our rapidly
changing metal world... ...~Väre~ is a culmination of the best features of ~

Tenhin toinen kokopitkä osoittaa hämmentävää tyylillistä kehitystä, joka tosin
oli ehkä jo ennakoitavissa kiehtovan Airut:Ciwi -ep:n sisällöstä. Yhtyeen
...Albumin
todellinen tärppi on kuitenkin sen päättävä jumalaisen kaunis kuolleesi
jokeen.
havaitaan pian. Hieno luomus sekä kotimaisella että kansainvälisellä skaalalla
mitaten.
